this year, i've decided to host my first thanksgiving. yes, i'll be a real life grown-up. a grown-up who has asked her mom to come over the night before to help her prep the turkey....and all the sides.
since we've moved into the house, i've been a little more obsessed with starting our own family traditions. so first up is thanksgiving. i'm starting small...immediete family. with pizza on speed dial.
i've been looking through recipes for the past 2 weeks, i finished my grocery shopping on sunday (i'll try to forget that i had some random lady shove my cart to the side when i stepped away. very aggressive), and am now just studying the recipes and planning out the cooking logistics. i'm thisclose to creating a spreadsheet. stay tuned for a post turkey day wrap up. before i go, i'll leave you with one more charlie brown quote:
"i can't cook a thanksgiving dinner. all i can make is cold cereal and maybe toast." - charlie brown. (i laugh but on the inside, i know there may be some truth to this. wish me luck).
